In his free time, Jose loves to spend time with his wife and three children participating in and growing with the community. As a family, they take on various community service projects and affiliate with local nonprofit organizations to achieve that end; some of the recurring projects include the River Sweep at Lake Wylie, Adopt a Highway, and Toys for Tots. When not spending time with his family, or volunteering for a local organization, Jose enjoys hiking in the mountains, playing sports, or frequenting the latest local eatery.
